EA FIFA 2014's Ignite Engine will ignite the soccer emotion around the world
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game feature a new game engine called the Ignite Engine. This features both graphical and gameplay advances on the previous game engine used by the FIFA series, the Impact Engine (which is used for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game). Improvements include advanced AI to make players react more like real human beings (such as becoming anxious towards the end of a game when their team needs to score), "True Player Motion" to create more realistic movement from the players, and more enhanced realism for environmental features such as weather and the crowd, which responds to what is happening on the pitch in a manner similar to a real crowd (such as lamenting a near miss). It was initially thought that the PC version of the game would also feature the Ignite Engine, but in May 2013, EA Sports confirmed this would not be the case.
Players have the intelligence to adjust their stride and approach angle to find the best position for hitting the back of the net. Now every step counts as players plant, pivot, cut, and shift momentum with the agility and explosiveness of real footballers. Realistic ball physics now determines the trajectories of balls in game, enabling players to strike the ball with force from distance or drill low rising shots with accuracy. Protect the ball from opponents to control play through midfield and dictate the tempo of the match. Better decision-making delivers tighter, smarter marking and improved run tracking.

Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) reaches MARS
Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) is a space probe designed to study the Martian atmosphere while orbiting Mars. Mission goals include determining how the Martian atmosphere and water, presumed to have once been substantial, were lost over time.
MAVEN was successfully launched aboard an Atlas V launch vehicle at the beginning of the first launch window on November 18, 2013. Following the first engine burn of the Centaur second stage, the vehicle coasted in low-Earth orbit for 27 minutes before a second Centaur burn of five minutes to insert it into a heliocentric Mars transit orbit.
The plan is for MAVEN to be inserted into an areocentric elliptic orbit upon reaching Mars, 6,200 km (3,900 mi) by 150 km (93 mi) above the planet's surface, on September 22, 2014.The principal investigator for the spacecraft is Bruce Jakosky of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder.
