All Nippon Airways Star Wars New Force Awakens Jet 777-300 Boeing dreamlinerSealed with Dogecoin BB-8™ ANA JET begin its service on international routes

ANA (All Nippon Airways) (Tokyo) today (September 12) is celebrating the roll out of the new R2-D2 Star Wars special livery on new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner JA873A (msn 34530). The airline issued this statement:

The R2-D2™ ANA Jet, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, rolled-out from the Boeing Everett Factory for the first time this morning (September 12). The R2-D2™ (below).

ANA Jet is the first of three planes to be decorated with Star Wars characters as part of an agreement between ANA, Japan’s largest airline, and The Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd.

“Today the time has come to bring the ANA Star Wars project to life and we hope Star Wars fans across the world will be as excited about our R2-D2 ANA Jet as we are,” said Hideki Kunugi, Senior Vice President, the Americas, ANA. “At ANA we’re always looking for ways to improve the flying experience for our passengers, and what better way to start your trip to Asia than on a one-of-a-kind Star Wars plane?”

The R2-D2 design was unveiled to Star Wars fans at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California earlier this year. Today marks the first time a Star Wars character appears on the exterior of an actual commercial aircraft.

On October 18, the R2-D2™ ANA Jet is scheduled to go into service on international routes, initially as flight NH116 between Tokyo and Vancouver, and then fly between Japan and other cities in ANA’s robust international network including the US (Seattle and San Jose), Europe (Munich, Paris and Brussels), Australia (Sydney), China (Beijing), and Indonesia (Jakarta).[1] The R2-D2 motif is imprinted onto the cockpit and front half of the jet’s main fuselage, while the Star Wars logo spans the length behind the wings. The interior of the 215-seat passenger plane will feature themed in-flight decorations, such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups, and passengers will be able to enjoy all six of the currently released Star Wars films as part of ANA’s extensive in-flight entertainment options. This will be the first time that any of the Star Wars movies have been included as part of an in-flight entertainment system.[2]

Two additional planes decorated with BB-8, a brand new character from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and R2-D2 will take to the skies following the R2-D2™ ANA Jet. The first, a Boeing 767-300, will begin flying domestic Japanese routes in November and then, in March 2016, a Boeing 777-300ER, is scheduled to start serving international routes principally between Japan and North America (the exact routes have yet to be announced)[3]. Fans will be able to see the planes’ schedules at http://www.ana-sw.com.

Today’s ceremony began with an introduction from Ihssane Mounir, Senior Vice President of Northeast Asia Sales and Marketing at Boeing, who welcomed the crowd that included journalists, R2-D2, C-3PO and Stormtroopers. When the official Star Wars music began to play, the Paint Hangar doors at the Boeing Everett Factory opened, unveiling the R2-D2™ ANA Jet to the world for the first time.

[1] Routes and flights detailed on the above site are provisional and subject to change without notification.

[2] Star Wars movies to be shown from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016 on all international routes.

[3] The routes are tentatively set as New York, Chicago and Houston, but this is subject to change.

Norway draft women military mandatory 2016Sealed with Dogecoin Girls in the army: Mandatory military service for women in Norway

The Norwegian parliament has voted in a strong majority on a bill aimed at extending mandatory military service to females. If the legislation is approved, all women in the country will be subject to the same conscription conditions as men.

The proposition, which was first announced in June 2013, was passed in Oslo this week, with 96 parliamentarians voting in favor of gender equality in the army. Only six voted against it.

"We do not really need more conscripts but we wish to extend military service to the entire age group to attract more motivated and more competent recruits," Norwegian Minister of Defense Ine Eriksen Soreide said.

If the bill is enacted, all medically fit women between 19 and 44 years old will have to serve at least 19 months of mandatory duty in the armed forces. It will apply to women born in Norway from 1997 onwards, with the first service in the summer of 2016. Women will also be subject to conscription during wartime.

Currently, women constitute just above 10 percent of military conscripts in Norway, serving in the armed forces on a volunteer basis. The initiative of compulsory military service for all citizens regardless of gender makes Norway the first European country to make such a decision in peacetime.

Outside Europe, military service is mandatory for both men and women in Israel.

http://thetimecapsule.org/upcomming/images/Samsung 60GHz Wi-Fi tech future routers 802.11ad transfer movie in secondsSealed with Dogecoin Samsung start the commercialization of their futuristic 60GHz 802.11ad Wi-Fi tech

Those face-meltingly fast new 802.11ac routers might not be king of the wireless networking world for long. On Sunday, Samsung announced it’s developing new 802.11ad Wi-Fi technology that can turbocharge network speeds fivefold, from today’s 866Mbps per-device maximum to a blistering 4.6Gbps. At that rate, Samsung says, a 1GB movie file can transfer from one device to another in under 3 seconds.

The secret sauce: Ditching the crowded 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless channels used by today’s routers and jumping to the 60GHz frequency band.

Even though you might not have heard of them, neither the futuristic 802.11ad standard nor the idea of using the 60GHz frequency for ultra-fast Wi-Fi are new. But prior implementations have run into a brick wall, both literally and figuratively: 60GHz signals can’t easily penetrate walls. That’s obviously a big problem for real-world usage. Most of the 60GHz-capable "WiGig" accessories you can find today are designed to operate at very, very short ranges as a result.

But Kim Chang Yong, head of Samsung’s DMC R&D Center, says the company has “successfully overcome the barriers to the commercialization of 60GHz millimeter-wave band Wi-Fi technology.”

Samsung’s press release says it overcame those physical and metaphorical barriers with "high-performance modem technologies and by developing wide-coverage beam-forming antenna." The WirelessHD and WiGig standards groups have also been trying to improve 60GHz signal performance using beam-forming, a Wi-Fi technology that detects where client devices (like PCs and tablets) are physically located and then sends a focused signal directly at those devices, rather than mindlessly broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal in all directions as most routers do. (Beam-forming is already becoming a common feature in high-end 802.11ac routers.)

Don’t start saving your pennies for this particular bit of next-gen networking kit just quite yet, however. While Samsung’s press release states that “commercialization is expected as early as next year,” that’s only talking about industry-wide usage of the 60GHz frequency itself—not necessarily the release of Samsung products packing the company’s new technology. A Samsung spokesperson provided the following statement to John Ribeiro of the IDG News Service:

"As 60GHz is an unlicensed band spectrum globally, along with 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrum, industry-level of commercialization is expected as early as next year, but there's nothing we could confirm at this point on when Samsung products supporting 60GHz Wi-Fi will be available in the market."

It seems 802.11ac routers will have to do for now.

First 3D Printed Pill Sprita produced to fight Epilepsy approved by FDASealed with Dogecoin First 3D-printed pill: Spritam, approved by FDA, is produced to fight epilepsy

In a world first, the US Food and Drug Administration has given the go-ahead for a 3D-printed pill to be produced.

The FDA has previously approved medical devices - including prosthetics - that have been 3D printed.

The new drug, dubbed Spritam, was developed by Aprecia Pharmaceuticals to control seizures brought on by epilepsy.

The company said that it planned to develop other medications using its 3D platform.

Printing the drugs allows layers of medication to be packaged more tightly in precise dosages.

A separate technology developed by the firm, known as ZipDose, makes high-dose medications easier to swallow.

Printing the drug meant it could package up to 1,000 milligrams into individual tablets.

The 3D-printed pill dissolves in the same manner as other oral medicines.
Replica jaws

Being able to 3D print a tablet offers the potential to create bespoke drugs based on the specific needs of patients, rather than having a one product fits all approach, according to experts.

"For the last 50 years we have manufactured tablets in factories and shipped them to hospitals and for the first time this process means we can produce tablets much closer to the patient," said Dr Mohamed Albed Alhnan, a lecturer in pharmaceutics at the University of Central Lancashire.

It would mean that medical institutions could adjust the dose for individual patients with just a simple tweak to the software before printing. Previously, such personalised medicine would have been extremely expensive to produce, said Dr Alhnan.

3D printing works by creating an object layer by layer. In the case of medicines, printers are adapted to produce pharmaceutical compounds rather than polymers which are more usually used.

Such methods are already proving very useful in healthcare with doctors using the system to create customised implants for patients with injuries or other conditions.

And dentists, for example, use 3D printers to create replica jaws and teeth as well as other dental implants.

Spritam will launch in the first quarter of 2016, according to Aprecia.

X-Files Revival Syndicate Clones Conspiracy Cigarette Smoking Man The Truth I want to BelieveSealed with Dogecoin The X-Files Revives for a crucial face with the consequences of Syndicate's final move

My predictions are: it will be revealed that Fox Mulder and Dana Skully are code names for "Fog's Murder and Data Skull-e(xtraterestrial)", which is reference to the clones conspiracy. It will be shown, that the alien virus is spread secretly in the oil fuel around the world. By using it, cars and the other vehicles, transport the virus. When the fuel is burnt, it is transformed to gas and released in the air. Then the people who breathe these emissions are potentially infected with the virus. This is why there are so much wars around the world for invading the OIL. And all the emirs and sheiks are controlled by the Syndicate. But the human kind is trying to replace the oil vehicles with electric ones and this is our final chance to defeat the alien virus pandemia.

When Does The X-Files Premiere?

Fox's fall lineup wasn't expected to include The X-Files, but the network did announce an official premiere date for the six-episode limited run.

The X-Files will return on Sunday January 24th, 2016 at 10 p.m. with a generous lead-in from the NFL, which hosts its NFC Championship that day. It will be a two-night premiere, with the show airing on Monday night at 8 p.m. in its regular timeslot.

The X-Files begins production in Vancouver on June 8th according to Production Weekly.

The big names are locked in. Who else can we expect to join them?

Beyond Duchovny and Anderson, Pileggi confirmed his role in the revival via Twitter. The Cigarette Smoking Man, played by William B. Davis, confirmed to Den of Geek (full story coming soon) that he wil be back in some capacity.

"I have ideas for everyone," he told XFN at the mention of the possibility of having Mitch Pileggi, Annabeth Gish, and Robert Patrick reprise their roles. "Their availability is subject to their regular paying jobs. Of course, I'd like to bring everyone possible back, but it's who's going to fit into the story and who's available."

Robert Patrick, known for his role as John Doggett, Mulder’s season eight and nine replacement, was asked about his time on The X-Files at a Scandinavian Sci-Fi convention. He immediately jumped into why he doesn’t want to be a part of the new episodes.

“I wanna do as many different roles that I can, and not just one thing,” Patrick said. “So the same I feel about with John Doggett and the X-Files. I'm doing a new show right now called Scorpion, that I love. And I’d much rather be doing that show than going backwards and revisiting a character that I’ve already done.”

Understandable. But then it got a little weird:

“I loved doing the X-Files then I did it, and Gillian Anderson is a beautiful sexy woman to work with every day,” Patrick said. “And so is Annabeth Gish. And I wish them all the best with that new project.”

What will the revival look like?

Duchovny, while expressing his interest in the project, suggested a full season was off the table. He got his wish. We're getting only six episodes. A reasonable expectation would be Fox leveraging a limited series to reignite interest and lead into the long-awaited third feature film. If all goes well, let’s call it the 12/22/2012** plan: Duchovny and Anderson say they're good with doing this every year and we get six episodes of the X-Files each January until the end of time.

If the limited run takes place past 2012, they’ll have to explain whether or not the alien invasion happened. Carter offered this answer to XFN:

"I've thought about that," he says referring to the colonization date. "I don't know exactly how I'm going to address it, in a big way, a mild way, a modern way, a mention or a plot point." Then he adds, "And of course you can't avoid to deal with the William (arc) in some way or another."

In an exclusive interview with X-Files News, the Carter revealed some early production details. Among them, The X-Files returns home to Vancouver, where the first five seasons were filmed. He's surrounding himself with some of the now well-known production talent that was a major part of the show's original run (you can read more about that below).

As for the plot, Carter is tight-lipped on the details, but did offer this:

"We're going to tell X-Files the way that we've always told them; we will of course set them in the time and place that they exist. We're telling contemporary stories about contemporary situations, true to Mulder and Scully's characters and their relationship and the passage of time."

David Duchovny called the script "fantastic" and admitted the waterworks flowed when he started turning pages. From an EW interview:

“I got the first script this morning. I just read it about an hour ago and I started crying reading the first page. It was just so strange to see the names on the page. It had nothing to do with the script itself… That was nice and strangely emotional for me, and I’ll have to figure out how to use that [in the performance].”
